Chamber Music has been an essential part of Margaret's musical life ever since her student days at the Royal College of Music
where she worked with singers such as Catherine Wyn-Rogers and Sally Burgess. It was there that she formed her partnership with the
charismatic violinist Bradley Creswick who went on to lead the Philharmonia Orchestra, and is now leader of the Northern Sinfonia.
Over the years, Margaret and Bradley have covered a huge range of repertoire: from the standard classics of Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven and
Brahms, through the romantic and twentieth century composers including Franck, Elgar, Janacek, Bartok, Prokofiev and Debussy,
to exciting contemporary works such as Adam Gorb's Sonata for violin and piano.
Other musicians with whom Margaret collaborates include cellists Raphael Wallfisch and Emma Ferrand, violinists Kenneth Sillito and Isabelle
Flory (leader of the Arpeggione String Quartet), flautists William Bennett and Wissam Boustany, clarinetist Sarah Williamson, and singers
Margaret Cable and Patrizia Kwella.
Margaret plays with the Maggini String Quartet, the Quattuor Arpeggione de Paris and the exciting young wind ensemble The Zephyrs of
London. Another ensemble she has enjoyed working with is the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Ensemble. The recording
they made of the Bax Octet received stunning reviews and was nominated for a Gramophone Award.
Margaret has also collaborated with the actor Sylvester McCoy (a former Doctor Who!) in a performance of Poulenc's enchanting setting of "Babar the Elephant".
