A World of Piano Themes

Not just another piano recital..."A World of Piano Themes" is a unique series of innovative and imaginatively designed recitals, each based around an underlying theme. Margaret has compiled this glorious collection of twelve themed programmes to offer an entertaining mix of traditional and lesser known repertoire, introduced from the keyboard by Margaret in her own inimitable style. "A World of Piano Themes" was featured in an article in Classical Music in June 2003.

Hartlepool Music Society says:
Our season was brought to a triumphant conclusion with Margaret Fingerhut's recital 'An Invitation to the Dance'. The themed programme comprised examples familiar and not so familiar from the piano repertoire relating to the dance and led the listeners joyfully from Bach to Smetana with a coruscating performance of Ravel's 'La Valse' as a glorious finale. The enthusiastic response that this programme deservedly evoked from our audience was ample proof that the combination of Margaret's virtuosity and a well-researched theme is a sure-fire winner.
Aberystwyth Music Club says:
The audience gave Margaret Fingerhut a very warm reception to welcome her back for her third appearance at the Great Hall of the Aberystwyth Arts Centre. Her generous programme, ranging from Bach through Chopin to Albeniz and Ravel, most effectively used the common thread of dance forms to illustrate development in the piano repertoire, and gave great pleasure to everyone. We all felt how much of herself she put into it and conveyed to us.
